This year is going by way too fast for my liking! Ahem, anyway! Here is another speedpaint video! This time I am putting my stylus away and getting back to my roots by drawing and painting in my sketchbook with actual, real art materials. I know I’m not the only one that finds the tactical feeling of drawing and painting relaxing and/or soothing, right? You just don’t get that sort of feeling when you draw digitally!

Anywho, here is the video: watch here.

This was a really fun and easy project. I love drawing with watercolour pencils, they give you such a lovely depth and richness of colour. Let’s talk about Adventure Time for a minute… It is the weirdest cartoon I have ever watched. Okay, maybe the weirdest Western cartoon! I’m not entirely convinced that it’s actually for kids, despite all the bright colours! Hahaha! But it is super fun and entertaining, so I had to draw it 😀 It’s one of those cartoons that really makes me want to draw. I love the limitless magic universe and the simple abstract style of it. But sometimes it genuinely disturbs me…

Anyway! Here is the finished product:
