Lately I’ve been thinking that maybe I really like making charms… Maybe 😀 It’s just so nice to NOT sit in front of a screen for a couple of hours and work with something tangible. I like the feeling of it, the process of it and of course, the end result! I like making cute little things 😀 So here is a video where I show you all the charms that I have made since my last charm update video, hope you enjoy!

In case you didn’t know you can buy my charms from my Etsy shop or email me directly firstname.lastname@example.org 🙂
So this past week has been so super excited because my tiny handmade business reached two awesome milestones! Number one is that I had my very first international order and my first Etsy sale! I have only sold to my friends, coworkers and family so far, so it was so amazing to get some validation from outside my immediate circle! I was really excited and emotional when the email came through, it just makes me SO so happy and I am eternally grateful to my wonderful first online customer :’D Here is the order right before I shipped it off to the UK:
The second milestone came a couple of days later, when a friend of my sister’s contacted me to do a custom order. My very first custom order! I am just so so grateful for all the opportunities coming my way right now! The order is for two chibi character charms and two avocado charms. I’m looking forward to sharing the pictures of the custom chibi characters that I’ll be making as soon as I’m done! But here is a progress photo of me working on the avocado charms:
I know it may seem small in the grand scheme of things, but every business has to start somewhere. And I feel like a lot of the time, people (impatient people like me) feel excited about the START of something, and the POSSIBILITY of something, but aren’t really prepared to put in the work and do the hardest thing of all, which is to WAIT. I find that the best things in life happen when you relax into something and then let it happen. I think that the enjoyment that I get out of making things is a value in itself, and once I relaxed and decided to just enjoy the process, that’s when these two marvelous milestones happened. The other major thing that I did was actively deciding not to give up. And that would have been so easy.
So there, motivational speech over! NEVER GIVE UP! 😀
Another exciting thing, which is coming up in May, is that I will have a stall at a local high school craft fete! How cool is that?! I’m working hard on increasing my stock and creating an awesome display, so watch out for that blog post soon!
Until next time <3
