House Renovation Before and After

posted in: DIY | 1

This week I’m taking a break from arts and crafts to show you something amazing. Something awe inspiring. Something that no-one thought could ever happen! It’s our house renovation. Because who doesn’t love a good before and after am I right?!

Okay so disclaimer: I did non of this myself. My wonderful, amazing, unbreakable mother managed the entire renovation from scratch. She was the project manager slash slave master that somehow managed to transform this ramshackle bunch of bricks into a homey, beautiful house. Much respect to Janet Lutova, and if you want to check out her impeccable taste you can visit her business website here.

I’m not going to go into too much detail in this post, but let’s just say that it was our dream to buy an affordable house that needed a little TLC and fix it up to be our dream home. It didn’t exactly turn out that way, and the journey was a long and arduous one. But in the end my mom created an absolute oasis of a house!

Without further ado, here is what the house looked like on the day we got the keys:

Moral of the story is, always have your house inspected by a trained plumber, electrician and builder before you sign on the dotted line. And make multiple visits that last more than 5 minutes. But of course if it’s meant to be, everything will break the minute you move in anyway! Haha anywho, the other moral of the story is to have someone in charge full time of the project if you are doing a renovation. I don’t know how I would have managed if I had to renovate and still work full time! So thanks Mom once again!

I hope you enjoyed this post even though it has nothing to do with anything on this blog! But hey, I’m just so darn proud of what my mom has accomplished that I had to put it up 😀

Until next time! <3
