Happy New Year everybody! Can you believe it has been 2016 for over a week! Wow, I better get my skates on! I have been looking forward to this year like crazy and I have about a thousand projects planned. I’ll talk about one of those projects in next week’s post but if you follow me on my new Alot Designs Instagram, you probably already know what it is! But I digress… Today I’m so excited to talk about my new content for my YouTube channel! I’ve always had drawing videos in the back of my mind when I created my channel, but I’ve always felt a bit unsure about my ability with the Wacom tablet. But now that I have gained a lot more experience, I’m confident enough share my process with the world!

I personally LOVE watching other people draw and paint! I really enjoy seeing another person’s process and let’s face it, speed painting or time-lapses are just fun to watch 😀 So I really hope you all enjoy the video!

Here is the finished drawing:

The program I used in this video is Adobe Photoshop CS6 and the drawing tablet is a Wacom Intuos Manga. This was a really fun and simple little character sketch, and I don’t really have much to say about it other than I tried masking the different colour blocks for the first time ever in this project. I really liked how it worked here, but I think I need to find a better way of selecting the colour, because in other projects (which I will be posting soon!) I found that it created strange pixel stragglers around the edges… But otherwise I like how this girl turned out and I especially like the 3 quarter angle that I was able to achieve!

Let me know what you think! Do you like watching people draw? What should I draw next? Leave me your suggestions!
